About PrinterDB
The comprehensive printer supplies, specs, and compatible parts database.
Our Mission
PrinterDB exists to solve a simple but persistent problem: finding the right supply for your printer shouldn't require digging through manufacturer websites, comparing part numbers across retailers, or guessing which cartridge fits which model.
We built a comprehensive, bidirectional database that maps every printer to its compatible supplies and every supply back to its compatible printers. Whether you're managing a fleet of office printers or replacing a cartridge at home, PrinterDB gives you the answer in seconds.
All data is provided free and without registration. No paywalls, no gated content, no dark patterns.
How It Works
Bidirectional Lookup
Search by printer model to find every compatible cartridge, toner, drum, and maintenance part. Or search by part number to find every printer it fits. The relationship works both ways.
Detailed Specifications
Every printer entry includes full technical specifications — print speed, resolution, connectivity, paper handling, dimensions, and more. Sourced from official manufacturer documentation.
Complete Parts Coverage
Beyond ink and toner, we catalog drums, fusers, transfer belts, waste toner bottles, maintenance kits, and printheads. Every part a printer needs, documented and cross-referenced.
Community Contributions
Our data grows through community submissions. Registered users can submit new printers, supplies, and compatibility links. Every submission is reviewed before publication to maintain data quality.
Our Data
PrinterDB's data comes from official manufacturer sources — product pages, specification sheets, and support documentation. We do not scrape third-party retailers or rely on user-generated guesswork.
Every entry is validated against the manufacturer's published specifications. Part numbers, page yields, color designations, and compatibility links are cross-referenced to ensure accuracy.
We cover all major printer manufacturers including HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Xerox, Lexmark, and many more. Our database spans inkjet, laser, LED, thermal, and specialty printer technologies.
Free to Use
PrinterDB is free to use. No account is required to search, browse, or look up any data in the database. We believe reference data should be accessible to everyone.
The project is supported by voluntary donations from our community. Supporters receive cosmetic perks like profile badges and accent colors, but all database functionality remains free for everyone.
Built for Speed
PrinterDB is built with modern web technology for fast, reliable performance. The interface works across all devices and screen sizes.
We support 17 languages with full internationalization, right-to-left layout support, and locale-specific typography. The database is the same everywhere — only the interface language changes.
Get Involved
PrinterDB is built by its community. If you'd like to contribute printer data, report an error, or suggest an improvement, create an account and use the contribution system.
